Better late...

than never! Sarah and I started this quilt at least 5 years ago. She made all of the sampler blocks and she had them done in plenty of time. I, on the other hand... well, you know, there are 54 pieces to a Buckeye beauty block... I stalled. Many times I stalled. But I finally, finally, finished. It really is prettier in person- the picture is a bit faded and blurry. I'll need to get a backing for it and get it quilted. Maybe in five years...

Back from camp... The boys had a great time at camp- just the three oldest went and my nephew, Josiah. Abe had a big day, too, though. Daniel and Abe were zonkered out.

Even though you started the project five years ago, the fabrics are still very much up-to-date. I like the connector blocks that draws everything together.

I was just wondering about this quilt the other day - probably because I ran across a piece of one of the batiks I used. It looks great! What size did it turn out to be?

Love you!

Absolutely gorgeous, Nines!!! I love the setting that you used. I am doing a sampler quilt in my guild this year, I just may use this setting to finish it. :~)

Stunning! I really like the way the Buckeye block welds it all together. Colors are nice too, don't ya know.

Oh and sorry, I thought it was a separate post, but your batik quilt is just stunning!
