Friday night and I'm all alone...

Bet you thought that would never happen. Everyone else had somewhere to be and I was... happy to stay home!

Here are a few little projects I've been working on. The blue Stack The Deck is just something I was puttering around with- makes a cute baby quilt. Well, I am playing with a scrappy quilt- my favorite. Love putting together all kinds of colors and patterns and seeing how it all works out in the end. This is only about half of the fabrics that I will be using. The red quilt belongs to my Mom and I just finished the quilting, today. Something accomplished. woohoo!

Now I have a few hours to play some more. I'm off to enjoy the quiet while I can. If you believe that, then you don't really know me! I'll wander around this big ole farm house, dithering over the quiet and wishing for at least some of the typical chaos. Guess I'll have to crank the stereo and sew in spite of the lack of interruptions!

  1. Lovin' it all ... esp. the red/hearts border. I think Oe would like that, esp. too. Maybe the picnic won't tarry after dark and you can gather your brood back around you. XOXOXOXO

  3. At first I thought those were all the fabrics you bought on your shop hop! I thought you had gone wild without me there to keep you in check!

    Missing you and love you!

Hope you enjoyed your evening. Me and Maddie are sitting here watching the 2005 version of Pride and Prejudice. I told her if she likes it we can get the Colin Firth version from my mom to watch at some point this summer. Trying to find my book version - Maddie is wanting to read it. Finally someone to watch girly movies with!

  4. I know what you mean about a quiet house--wish I had a little chaos back too. I keep expecting one of "gone" girls to be here. You'd think I'd be adjusted to only having one left by now. They did spend the day with me yesterday--sweet husbands dropped them off on their ways to work. Wes had to work last night so we had a movie and snack night. It was fun. Today has been quiet though. And the best part is that I feel just fine--didn't even need an Advil after yesterday's procedure. See, I told you it could have just been done in his office ;) Love you and wishing I could putter around that big ol' farmhouse with you.

  5. That must be some feat of logistics - getting all your brood out of the house for any length of time together - enjoy! They'll all be back as soon as thy're hungry :o)
