One For Darcie...
Darcie is often posting these pictures of gorgeous sunrises, so I thought she would appreciate the sunset we had, last night. There are no special effects or anything with the camara- just my old 2 megapixel kodak. The wind was blowing so hard that the sky was constantly changing and swirling. At times like that, it makes me feel so small standing on the edge of the prairie with the sky all lit up like a beautiful quilted bowl. It was incredibly beautiful.

Mine?! Really?! You are so sweet, Nines!!!

Whatever was on fire...it certainly is a work of art! That is beyond gorgeous!!!

I don't ever get to see a sunset here on our farm. (OK. Who had the cheese last...where is it!) We have a bunch of buildings and a shelterbelt of trees in my way. I know all of it protects me from some frightful winds...but golly!!!

Thank you for sharing your beauty with me...I look forward to more!!!

Love your sunset nines...we get some pretty good ones where I am ...just the beginning of the long grass prairies and the outer edge of the coulees. And ya,ya,ya..hasn't that wind been something..!

what a beautiful sunset,

interested in all this talk of strong winds, we get them on the islands straight off the atlantic but I have been told it is because we are by the ocean, seems that prairie is just another ocean,

I love the description of a quilted bowl! We often get sunsets like this, and it makes you say a little prayer of thanks for the quiet beauties in our lives.
