Joe (16) got his first deer, today. 11 point buck- not a bad way to start! Bill got a 6 point buck. We'll be busy cutting up the meat, tomorrow! Oh, that's right! I work on Tuesdays. I guess they'll be busy tomorrow, teeheehee. See Tracey? Delegate. And they had such a wonderful time together.

Congrats to him :) Thats a big deal! xoxo melzie
so will you slice the antlers for buttons? :-)
I haven't had deer meat since I was about 16 and I really miss it. My mom could make it the best way in the pressure cooker. Oh jeez, that was some good meat. But my grandfather was the only one who hunted and he got too old after that.
Good for the boys! Meat for the freezer.
Congrats!!
Joe, could your smile get any wider!!! How pumped you must be!!! Perserverance pays! CONGRATS!!! He's a trophy, that's for certain.
And Nines...you're such a supportive Mom! (But I'm so glad for you that you're working today!! hehe!)
Yeh, look at that smile! I could hear it over the phone when he phoned his GF with the news!! And if they can shuck corn, they can cut venison. Gotta love it!
Congratulations! The smiles tell it all.
Wow what good luck for him! We've had some bucks in our yard this year.
deer, hmmmmm -- is that what the Indians used to call "fast food" (along with rabbits)?
just wondering

ps -congrats
My guys have gone yet, but I do have the freezer defrosted just in case they bring one, or two, or three home.
On no, they shot Bambi. I always did think your husband was a real cutie and your son is just drop dead gorgeous.
SCORE!!!!! What a great day! I wish my hubby would come back from from hunting with some sort of dead animal! But he says "Thats why they call it hunting, not finding!" LOL Enjoy cooking some fantastic venison meals. Hmmmmm, I wonder what it tastes like... haha
