Things are moving fast..

As fast as that little red car probably goes- but Mama doesn't want to think about that! Joe just got a job down in Alabama, so he is leaving... tomorrow!! Not a lot of notice, but we are so thankful that things have worked out this way. I've been a little weepy, but I think that is perfectly natural- considering the circumstances. I'm gonna miss him. We'll all miss him, but we are so happy for him finding a great job(welding) considering the economic situation. I am working on some dresden plates mixed with an irish chain for their wedding quilt. Keeping busy.

Wow! That is a whirlwind. Maybe we will get to see more of you in Alabama now. Have they set a date yet? Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Love you!

I am weeping a bit for you. So hard when they begin to fly, even though spreading their wings and soaring is ultimately what we want for them. I am so thankful that he got the job. I pray that it will provide good steady work for him. (((hugs)))

I transplanted to Alabama in 1997. I didn't think I would like it here. But we ended up buying a house here and now are raising our 3 boys here. Good luck to your son on his new job.

Oh warm hugs your way! My oldest is graduating in May and I'm hoping she finds a job too, and she is getting married in Oct! So I know how you feel!

I'm a little teary-eyed myself. Sweet Joe...out on his own now.

Yes...that's the ticket. Stay busy. Although I don't think you'd know how to be anything but busy.

Love you! ;-)

Sending prayers and happiness your way! It is so hard when they leave but so beautiful watching them grow into wonderful adults. You did good! He looks wonderfully happy.

Whose spiffy car? You know that I have a weakness for little red sports cars.

Keeping busy is good...but sometimes the tears come at unexpected times. I still tear up and my son has been gone 4 years! I am excited for your son's new adventure, though!!
