Selma Lou strikes again...
Well you know it's bad when that other person keeps sneakin' into your quilting room and making a mess of things and you decide she really needs a name if she is going to take the blame for her actions. Despite the fact that I have a hard and fast rule about never shelfing anything without leaving proper documentation, she is always stashing stuff without so much as a whisper of where she was going with it. But to be fair, I doubt I'd be happy with her explanations as I just cannot see how she intended that conglomeration of roses to go together in anything that resembles something I might like. ahh... lightbulb moment... maybe that's why it's on the shelf. It's all becoming clear to me now. I hated it...I mean, Selma Lou hated it and so she stuffed it on the back shelf where she thought that, after a time, we might morph into 90 year old grannies and actually like it... Selma Lou's a strange duck. I tried to lay it out in some fashion, but alas, I'm as hopeless at this as she is. I bet Bonnie could pick up those little blocks and BAM! a work of art would be born. sigh. Maybe Selma Lou was on to something... there's a little room on that back shelf.

lol..love selma sue...I think we all have someone like that in our sewing spaces-and, I am sure you are right too - Bonnie does have a magic touch with putting together unique fabric combinations and making them sing.

I think I have a Selma over here making a mess of my quilting bits and pieces...
You know, I really like this UFO with the exception of the dark blue 9-patches. I think without those it would have a lovely soft look. The question is would you like it enough to do all the work to take them out? Decisions, decisions.

I love looking at the whole and then looking at the individual fabrics. Very pretty. This reminds me of a rose garden with blue sky overhead.

Looking at the evidence, I don't think it was Selma Lou... I'll buy the choke-berries and homespun, but not this one.

I think Gertrude has slipped in and tried to pull one over on you and Selma. Nice try and perhaps a better quilt than you think.

And do you suppose Gertrude is also responsible for the too ruffly shawl that sits 90% cone in my crochet basket? ...we might be close enough to - er - split a personality.

Love all of you, Mom

Well Nines...I think that Selma Lou has a nice, soft, vintage-looking quilt going on there. Please be nice to her and help her get it pieced up...and then machine quilt it for her too, would you??? Please???

I love the 9-patch/4-patch marriage that you...Selma Lou...'scuze me...has pieced. Quite darling!

LOL! I think Selma might have been buying fabric for me about 6 years ago... She really gets around! LOL.

Nina, you inspire me. I have a baby shower coming up and decided that a quilt would be a nice gift. Think perhaps I should have made that decision a little sooner. Will publish a picture of it when it is completed. I also have some UFO's. I know that one is rather nice--cant remember just why I gave up on it. Now that we have semi-organized my sewing area, I may get it out and complete it. I am always amazed at how much you can accomplish.

I think Selma's whole darn family has been in my sewing room! I like the quilt, though. I think you should 'just do it' and it just might grow on you! If not, I'll send you my address! LOL
